We live in a time where football players are franchised in order to sell shoes as if they were mythical creatures. So it seems right that JESUS the son of god be franchised as well. 

The work "JESUS - Walking on Water" deals with the interface between commercialization and mythology, consumerism and spirituality, miracles and every day life.

​

The shiny shelves and the JESUS sandals floating on water encourage the potential consumers to look reflexively at the commercial use of something which is "godly", as well as the relations between the material and the spiritual in every day life. 

On the other hand, once the consumer wears the JESUS sandals he will don upon himself a dimension of holiness - he might even walk on water - depicting the sublime utopia of the marketing strategy.

Following the success of the JESUS sandals in the modern world, remains the question: will the iconic Jesus outlive his trademark or will he fade away like "Nika" the goddess behind the Nike trademark
